Random updates

My nose looks horrible today! I think yesterday's Giants game was the hottest day of the year in San Francisco and my face is definitely showing it this morning. I think I need to invest in better sunscreen next time I am out in the sun for a long period of time. I'm slathered in aloe vera and kind of concealed by my makeup. At least it was a good game and the Giants won, of course :)

Last night I finally gave my much dreaded presentation about state bar trust accounts and pleadings class is now officially over (hurray!). I am going to try and enjoy my two weeks off from school before Fall semester begins. I am so happy that I now have my core classes done with and I can focus on my electives, which are less intense and perhaps a bit more fun.

I found out yesterday that G and I are going to be an uncle and auntie. It feels so weird to be adding those titles to our names and makes me feel old. At least I'm not becoming an auntie by my brother! My SIL's pregnancy is in the really early stages, so I have my fingers crossed for her to have a healthy first trimester and beyond. I'm excited for them and relieved to have the pressure taken off of us from G's family for a while. I still think that I am too young to be having babies and I love my wine and beer too much to give them up yet. I was telling G that the kitties are perfect children for us because we only have to scoop their litterbox once a day, whereas a baby's diaper must be changed several times throughout the day. Also, I only need to dump food and water into the kitties bowls once a day, unlike babies that require several bottle feedings. I only need a babysitter for the kitties when we go out of town for more than two days. In a nutshell, kitties are perfect children for us at the moment.
